You do make a good point, but almost all of our replacement pintle hitch balls are designed for a specific pintle ball mount system which is why you don't see that dimension on every product page.
The only pintle hitch balls that are for generic ball mounts are the ones from Tow Ready and we do have that measurement for the Pintle Hitch Ball with 2" Diameter, 10,000 lbs GTW # 63018 - 2-1/2" from bottom of flange to top of ball.

You can use the Curt Pintle Hook with 2" Hitch Ball # C48190 with the B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate # BWPMHD14005. When you use the 2" hitch ball your towing weight capacity is 10,000 lbs but then that is increased to 16,000 lbs when using the pintle hook.
If you end up needing to use a different sized hitch ball then you can easily swap out to a 1-7/8" ball with part # C48810 or a 2-5/16" ball with part # C48830.

I do have an option for you but there is not a receiver hitch available that will bolt into the same bolt hole spacing as the pintle ball hitch. I recommend to add Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class V Commercial Duty 2-1/2" receiver part # C15845 to the 2015 Ford F550. The Curt hitch will give you 20,000 lbs gross towing weight and then you can use Curt Adjustable 2-Ball Mount part # C45902 that comes with a 2" or 2-5/6" ball. As pintle hitches are designed to fit both 2-1/2" and 3" lunette rings they are all going to have some play which allows it to fit both rings correctly.
